Welcome to GitPrompt! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GitPrompt website and services ("Service"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GitPrompt is a platform that allows users to create, manage, version, fork, and share AI prompts ("User Content"). The Service provides tools to manage these prompts and access them via an API.
3. User Accounts
- You must be 13 years of age or older to use the Service.
- You must be a human. Accounts registered by "bots" or other automated methods are not permitted.
- You must register for an account via GitHub. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. GitPrompt cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
4. User Content
- You own the content you create. We claim no intellectual property rights over the prompts and other material you provide to the Service.
- By using the Service, you grant GitPrompt a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your User Content for the purpose of providing the Service.
- You are solely responsible for the content you create and for ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
5. Public & Private Prompts
The Service allows you to set your prompts as either "Public" or "Private".
- Private Prompts: Will only be accessible to you.
- Public Prompts: By setting a prompt to "Public", you grant all other users of the Service a non-exclusive license to view, use, and fork your prompt.
6. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to:
- Upload or share any content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the integrity or security of our Service.
- Use the Service for spamming or any other unsolicited advertising.
7. Termination
- You can terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. GitPrompt makes no warranty that the service will meet your requirements or be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that GitPrompt shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or the inability to use the service.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update and change these Terms from time to time without notice. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
